An Introduction to Midjourney AI Art Generator
Midjourney AI Art Generator is a computer program that can create amazing works of art all on its own.
It’s like having your own personal artist, but it’s a robot!
AI is a fancy way of saying that a computer can learn and think like a human. It’s like having a brain in a machine!
With AI, computers can do things that humans can do, like seeing and hearing. But AI can also do things that humans can’t do, like processing lots of information really quickly and accurately.
So, what does the Midjourney AI Art Generator do?
Well, it can take your words and turn them into beautiful pictures.
All you have to do is give it a prompt, like “a red apple on a table” and it will create an image of exactly that.
It uses a type of AI called a “neural network” to learn from millions of other pictures, and then uses that knowledge to create its own images.
So, with Midjourney AI Art Generator, you don’t need to be an artist to create beautiful images. All you need is your imagination and a few words, and the program will do the rest!
How to Create Photorealistic Images with Text Prompts
Now that we know what Midjourney is, let’s dive into how we can use it to create photorealistic images for free!
The easiest and fastest way to create AI images is to use text prompts.
Text prompts are a set of words or phrases used to generate a specific image. These prompts are usually short, concise and provide an idea of what kind of image the you want the Midjourney bot to generate.
It might seem a bit complicated at first, but don’t worry – this quick start guide will make it easy.
1. Join the Discord
To use Midjourney, you need to have a Discord account. So that you can interact directly with the Midjourney Bot on your Discord.
You can either go to Midjourney.com, select Join the Beta, or go directly to the Midjourney Discord.
2. Find a Newbie Channel
Once you join the Midjourney server on Discord, you can go to any of the newbies-#
channel visible in the left sidebar or open a direct message (DM) with the bot to start creating images.
3. Generate Photorealistic Images in Seconds
This is the fun part!
To start creating images, type in the command/imagine prompt:
or select the /imagine
command from the slash commands pop-up.
Then, give it a description of the image you want to create in the “prompt” field and click enter to send your message.
For first time user, you will see a pop-up asking you to accept the Terms of Service. You must agree to the Terms of Service before any image will be generated.
Midjourney will turn your words into 4 pictures within 60seconds.
Once it’s done, it will send you a message with your image attached.
4. Refine Your Images
By giving it specific text prompts, you can adjust the style and colors of your image. It’s fast, easy, and perfect for anyone who needs high-quality images quickly.
For example, if you want to create a picture of a beach with palm trees, you can simply type in “beach with palm trees” and let Midjourney do the rest. It will analyze your input and generate an image grid that looks like a real photograph!
Here, you have the options to Upscale an image (U buttons) and create slight image variations (V buttons).
(a) U bottons allow you to create a larger version of the selected image with more details.
(b) V buttons will generate a new grid of images that looks similar to the choosen image’s style.
(c) 🔄 (re-roll) button will create a new grid of images.
Tips: Consider doing an upscale first before making variations.
It could save you time and effort! Sometimes, a little bit of extra detail can help you get closer to your desired result.
But, if you’re still not satisfied, you can always create variations based on your upscaled image to get even better versions.
5. Save or Download Your Image
When you upscale an image, you’ll see new options appear on the Midjourney Discord interface, including:
- Make Variations: creates a variation of the upscaled image and generates a new grid of four options.
- Beta/Light Upscale Redo: redo the upscale using a different model
- Web: Open the image in your gallery on Midjourney.com
Simply click on the image and right click to save it.
Or click “Web” to go your Midjourney account and click download button to save a copy of your image to your computer.
